Letters to the Editor
Sir, The United States has at last declared Dawood Ibrahim a specially designated terrorist. This will trigger a request for his inclusion in the United Nations blacklist as well, which will prevent any member of the U.N. from sheltering him. With the U.S. definitively linking him with drug trafficking, India's case that he be handed over has been strengthened.
R. Sekar,
Sir, Gen. Musharraf has been denying Dawood's presence in Pakistan. Now, the U.S. has officially declared him a global terrorist living in Karachi and published his address and Pakistani passport number. A time will come when the U.S. will have to deal with Pakistan in the same manner as it is dealing with Syria and North Korea.
S. Bhaktavatsalam,
