Police said they recovered bones of the hand, leg and other parts in a decayed condition. A local resident noticed the remains around noon and informed the police. The house from which the body parts were recovered was in a dilapidated condition and was mostly used by beggars and the homeless as a night shelter, the police added.
The remains were sent to the forensic sciences department to ascertain the age and sex of the dead person. The police was also making enquiries.
