KCHR bid to digitise State's past

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM OCT. 26. The Kerala Council for Historical Research (KCHR) has initiated a project to conserve documents and images relating to the social, scientific, cultural and historical heritage of the State. This project, `Digitising Kerala's Past', envisages the development of a digital repository of source materials for research on Kerala society. In the first phase, rare books, documents and out-of-print works are being digitised in collaboration with the VSSC, according to a press release issued by the KCHR. The second phase envisages digitising pre-960 photographs with the assistance of the River Valley Technology Group.
