Talking to reporters here on Saturday, the SSF office-bearers said that prior to the launch of the second phase of the campaign, discussions would be held among people's representatives and traders on the ban on pan masala in the beginning of November. The SSF activists would meet officials of the Departments of Education and Health and senior police officials and seek their help for the campaign. Efforts would be made to dissuade the users of pan masala from using the product. Processions would be organised at 5,000 centres in the State on November 28 to declare the launch of the second phase of the campaign. The focus in this phase will be on creating awareness among students and families. The education authorities' permission has been sought on organising awareness programmes in schools.
