TIRUPATI. Oct.27. The Puttur MLA, R. Rajasekhar Reddy, who was injured in the attack on the Chief Minister, N. Chadnrababau Naidu, was on Monday airlifted to the NIMS of Hyderabad from the SVIMS here for further treatment. While Mr. Naidu, the District Minister, B.Gopalakrishna Reddy, and the Tirupati, MLA, Ch.Krishnamurthy, were shifted to NIMS, a day after the attack, Mr. Rajasekhar Reddy who slipped into a near-coma condition following the serious brain injury he had suffered in the mine blast, could not be shifted along with the three. He was shifted only today following signs of improvement in his health condition. After a stay for about four weeks in the critical care unit of the SVIMS, Mr. Reddy was flown to NIMS by an helicopter specially sent by the State Government. He was accompanied on board by the Director of the SVIMS, G. Subramanyam, and an anaethetist. He was seen off at the helipad by his friends and relatives besides a team of doctors and a posse of cops who threw a security ring around the chopper.
