Daler appears before police

PATIALA OCT. 27. Jeered and heckled by an agitated crowd, Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi today appeared before the police here after remaining elusive for about 20 days and was questioned for over seven hours in the illegal human trafficking case. Police said he was ``non-cooperative.''

Mehndi, who was granted an interim anticipatory bail for 10 days by the Delhi High Court, which had also directed him to cooperate with the police in the investigations, himself drove to the Sadar police station.
