Ramco Industries net up

Ramco Industries has achieved a 32 per cent rise in net profit after tax at Rs. 14.82 crores in the half-year ended September 30, 2003 against Rs. 11.26 crores in the same period in 2002-03. Net sales were Rs. 79.05 crores against Rs. 81.28 crores. The operating profit has increased to Rs. 25.03 crores from Rs. 19.97 crores. The company has commissioned the calcium silicate board project and has started production at Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu. It has commissioned a windmill with a capacity of 1.25 MW in the Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, in September.
