Traffic restrictions on Necklace road

HYDERABAD OCT. 27. The Tank Bund road, Necklace road, Khairatabad fly-over and NTR Marg will be closed for general traffic between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday as part of the traffic restrictions imposed in view of the Laser Show to be held at People's Plaza.

In addition to closure of the three roads, the Hyderabad police have announced diversion of traffic in the following routes. City buses and goods vehicles coming to Hyderabad from Secunderabad side would proceed via Kavadiguda, Musheerabad, RTC crossroads, Chikkadpally and Narayanaguda crossroads towards Liberty side and vice versa. Other vehicles coming from Secunderabad to Hyderabad side would proceed via Kavadiguda, Ashoknagar, Indira Park, Gaganmahal towards Liberty side and vice versa.

The vehicular traffic coming from V.V. Statue and moving towards Secretariat or Telugu Talli statue would proceed via Nirankari building (old employment exchange) towards Ravindra Bharathi and vice versa. Traffic would not be allowed towards Iqbal Minar and Telugu Talli statue on RBI road or Telephone Bhavan road. Vehicles coming from V.V. statue towards Sanjeevaiah Park would proceed via Raj Bhavan, Rajiv Gandhi statue, Greenlands, Hyderabad Public School and Rasoolpura towards Minister's road.

The vehicular traffic coming from Minister's road towards Necklace road would be diverted towards Ranigunj at Nallagutta T junction.

Parking places

Vehicles of Ministers, MLAs and senior officers at the new parking lot opposite to People's Plaza, Vehicles of invitees and officials at `Meekosam' near Necklace rotary and RTC buses carrying schoolchildren opposite Children Traffic Park. General public coming from Secunderabad side to see the Laser Show would park their vehicles in front of Sanjeevaiah park railway station and on the Gosevasadan road and NTR stadium near Indira Park.

People coming from RTC crossroads Ashoknagar side and Panjagutta side would park their vehicles on the premises of NTR stadium and at the Institute of Engineers and ICICI grounds. Those coming from Dilsukhnagar and Uppal would park their vehicles in Nizam College, Basheerbagh and Public Garden. The general public coming from Gaganmahal, Himayathnagar and Vaartha lane would park their vehicles in NTR stadium premises and those coming from Mehdipatnam and Charminar side at Public Garden.
