G.K. Govinda Rao, writer, said the book had made subtle attempts to unveil the unknown faces of society and innate human weaknesses of those who had carved a niche in public life. Some of the essays were nostalgic, and had provided new insights into the socio-political aspects of rural life and the adventurous spirit of the rural people of yesteryear, Prof. Rao added. Releasing the book, the Additional Director-General of Police (Law and Order), Subhash Bharani, said journalists had the privilege and ability to reach the common people and the top echelons of society.
