By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE OCT. 28. The Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) personnel on Tuesday demolished 10 small shops and a building that had illegally come up on land owned by the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) at the junction of P. Kalinga Rao Road and Lalbagh Road. According to a BMP release, the illegal structures were obstructing pedestrian movement. The shops and the building were razed following a court order. There was no opposition from the shopkeepers to the demolition, the release said.
