Police-bashing

Sir, — The police are characterised as monsters and the epitome of brutality in movies and T.V. serials. Indiscriminate violence and obscene language are attributed to them liberally. It creates an illusion that the police are enemies of the public. What is worse, there is not even a whimper of protest from the Government.
