Karur Vysya Bank achieves higher net
Karur Vysya Bank has achieved a higher net profit of Rs. 75.86 crores in the six months ended September 30, 2003 against Rs. 47.15 crores. Total income was higher at Rs. 395.02 crores against Rs. 295.07 crores. The operating profit has risen to Rs. 135.64 crores from Rs. 72.61 crores. Provision and contingencies accounted for Rs. 42.28 crores (Rs. 7.43 crores) and taxation of Rs. 17.50 crores (Rs. 18.03 crores). In the quarter ended September 30, total income was Rs. 213.90 crores (Rs. 147.70 crores), the operating profit Rs. 72.97 crores (Rs. 37.03 crores) and the profit after tax Rs. 45.36 crores (Rs. 24.90 crores).
