Andhra players dominate

Thalambur oct. 29. Andhra players are dominating the Vel's Srinivasa College of Engineering & Technology National under-7 boys' and girls' chess championship being held here.

Six of the 11 boys who shared the lead with three points each at the end of the third round are from Andhra Pradesh.

The A.P. dominance in the girls' section is even greater, as five of the six leaders with three points are Telugu speaking.

The leaders in the boys' section: Phani Bhushan, K. Vijayakanth, Lalith Abhilash Reddy, R. Eswar (all AP), M. Ravi Teja (Chess Academy of Hyderabad), G.V. Sai Krishna (Champions CA, Vijayawada), S.V. Srinath (Chhattisgarh), Shiven Khosla (Mah), Karma Pandya (Guj), V. Prabhu (TN) and Niraj Saripalli (Goa).

The leaders in the girls' section are: S. Chandana Priya Reddy, K. Sai Nirupama, K. Vyshali (all AP), A.R. Priya (Tnagar CA, Vijayawada), Y. Sai Lakshmi (Champions CA) and Srinithi Nagarajan (TN).
