Addressing a press conference here today, the PCC spokesman, G. Muddukrishnama Naidu, ridiculed the Cabinet's decision to bring in three Acts to check corruption among employees. Though TDP leaders were involved in various scandals, the Government was targeting employees with threats of confiscation of properties, he alleged. The Chief Minister's talk on controlling corruption was aimed at hoodwinking people in view of reports of advancement of elections to the Legislative Assembly. Alleging that huge amounts had been misappropriated in Janmabhoomi, Neeru-Meeru, Food for Work and works pertaining to the Roads & Buildings Department, the leader said fake currency note scandal, irregularities in power purchase agreements and fake stamp paper scam took place in the past few years of TDP rule.
