Kalam condoles Semmangudi's death

New Delhi Nov. 1. The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, today condoled the death of well-known Carnatic musician `Semmangudi' Srinivasa Iyer in Chennai.

In his condolence message, he said, Semmangudi, was a doyen among Carnatic musicians and that he had done yeoman service in the field.Mr. Kalam said Semmangudi had created a generation of musicians to uphold his traditions.
