Ezhuthachan award for T. Padmanabhan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM NOV. 1 . T. Padmanabhan, litterateur, has been selected to receive the `Ezhuthachan Award' for the year 2003, instituted by the State Government.

It is for his overall contribution to the promotion of Malayalam literature that Mr. Padmanabhan has been selected to receive the award, carrying a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, a citation and a statuette. The Minister for Culture, G. Karthikeyan, announced the award at a prèss conference here today.
