Curbs on coop. socities opposed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM NOV. 1 . The proposals mooted by the Union Government for imposing certain restrictions on the primary co-operative societies have been opposed by the State Government.

These proposals when implemented would jeopardise the democratic functioning of the co-operative institutions, according to M. V. Raghavan, Minister for Co-operation.
