Central team to study drought situation

HYDERABAD NOV.1. An inter-ministerial Central team will visit the State for an on-the-spot assessment of the current drought situation, according to the Commissioner for Disaster Management.

The team led by the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, A.K.Agarwal, would come to the city on Monday evening and witness the photo exhibition on the drought situation at the Lake View Guest House. The team would hold discussions with State Government officials on Tuesday and make field visits to Anantapur, Cuddapah, Medak and Karimnagar districts on Nov.5 and 6 and would leave for Delhi on Nov.7.
