Colourful display marks AP Formation Day fete

HYDERABAD Nov.1. A colourful display highlighting the sweetness of Telugu language and the greatness of India was performed by school children as part the AP Formation Day celebrations at NTR Stadium.

The Chief Minister, N.Chandrababu Naidu, his Cabinet colleagues and senior officials witnessed the display which was preceded by a march-past by police contingents.

Later Mr.Naidu decorated policemen with medals and presented cash rewards ranging from Rs.5000 to Rs.2000 to officials of different departments, including Vigilance and Enforcement, Forest, Raj Bhavan, Prohibition and Excise.

Awards were also given for entrepreneurs and social workers, including an autodriver from Srikakulam district who transports pregnant women free of charge.
