Award for Hindi professor

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM NOV. 1. S. Thankamani, Professor and Head of the Department of Hindi, University of Kerala, has been selected for the Rahul Samkrithyayan Puraskar of the Kendreeya Hindi Samsthan, which functions under the Union Human Resources Development Ministry. The award, which comprises a citation and a purse of Rs. 1 lakh, will be presented to her by the President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

She is vice chairperson of the Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha.
