He told presspersons here that a recorded documentary on the Vijayanagar Empire would be the main attraction of the show. Nearly 120 local artistes would participate in the event. He said the Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Jagmohan, would inaugurate the show at 6.30 p.m. "Nruthyanjali", a dance programme, would be held on November 4 and 5. Artistes from Bangalore, Kolar, Hospet and Bellary would perform Bharatanatyam and classical dances from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Purandara Mantap. On November 6 and 7, artistes from Hubli, Dharwad, Hospet and Kittur would present tatvapadas and harikatha kirtans. Mr. Jayaram said the inaugural and valedictory functions of the Hampi Utsav would be held at Purandara Vedike. The Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, would inaugurate the utsav on November 3. He would release a book on Hampi. There would be a rural sports competition during the festival. He said the Home Minister, Mallikarjun Kharge, would be the chief guest at the valedictory function. Chandrashekara Kambara, writer, would deliver the valedictory address. The Minister of State for Kannada and Culture, Rani Satish, would preside over the function, he added.
