Sir, The news of the presence of worms in Cadbury chocolates, coming soon after reports of pesticide presence in Cola drinks, was very disturbing. But with due respect to the sentiments of all those who made noise as if we only eat chocolates and drink cola, I think the issue was blown out of proportion. The prevention of Food Adulteration Act is common to all food products and persons who manufacture, store and sell them from a roadside bhelpuriwala to a confectioner selling mithai. Dozens of samples of various food products are taken every day by food inspectors from various shops. Why such prominence to Cadbury chocolate, the consumption of which is almost negligible?
