Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
HYDERABAD, NOV. 2. The BJP has said that the political agenda in the State has changed following the abortive attack on the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, by naxalites. There was an anti-Chief Minister agenda for some parties, but it was no more. Even the Congress was no longer raising issues which it did hitherto to target Mr. Naidu, the Union Minister of State for Urban Development, B. Dattatreya, State BJP president, N. Indrasena Reddy, and official spokesmen, S.V. Seshagiri Rao, K. Laxman and G. Kishan Reddy, told a news conference here on Sunday. Mr. Dattatreya said the party would organise the `neeti kosam-bhoomi kosam' programme by holding conventions at the Assembly constituency level from November 15 to December 14 to mount pressure on the State Government to solve the problems of people for water and land. He was of the view that the programme would be a success going by the earlier experience of Government setting up the Godavari Water Utilisation Authority after the Sasyasyamala Yatra by the party.
