Special package for BC artisans

CUDDAPAH Nov. 2. The Government has directed implementation of a special package for backward classes in which BCs practicing 14 main traditional occupations and other artisans will be extended financial assistance in the current year

Informing this here on Sunday, the Velugu Project Director, B. Vijayendira, said mandal-level convergence meetings would be held from November 7 for identification of beneficiaries. MPDOs, MROs, Velugu community coordinators and village secretaries should inform BC women beneficiaries and women's groups to produce caste certificates and submit details of their groups at the convergence meetings. The list of women identified must be conveyed to sarpanches and other public representatives and women's groups, she said.

The participation of managers of all bank branches in mandal convergence meetings must be ensured, she said and disclosed the schedule for the meetings from November 7 to 13.
