KURNOOL Nov. 2. Police arrested three persons who allegedly tried to kidnap a Christian priest, Joji Reddy, at Maddikera last night.

An inquiry revealed that Jogi Reddy's brother, Tomachi Reddy, was involved in the incident.

Property dispute was believed to be the reason behind the kidnap bid. The accused allegedly engaged a gang from Proddatur for the purpose.

But their attempt was foiled and they had to flee in the face of resistance from the local people.

Police rushed to the place and arrested the accused, who were identified as Tomachi Reddy, Raju, Konda Reddy and Bhaskar Reddy.
