India, Pak. must talk, says Mufti

By Our Staff Reporter

Srinagar Nov. 2. The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today emphasised the need for constructive Indo-Pakistan talks to usher in peace in the State.

Addressing a public meeting in Ganderbal, on completing one year in office, the Mufti said: "India and Pakistan have to talk. Confrontation is not in the interests of the people of the two countries. The political leadership will not be able to move against the public mood."

Referring to the All-Parties Hurriyat Conference, the Mufti said, "the dialogue process is set to start and all the groups should respond appropriately."
