Letters to the Editor
Sir, I refer to the news report "Retail liquor vending till midnight" ( Nov. 6 ). While the Tamil Nadu Government is more worried about revenue loss, the Opposition parties seem interested only in contract allotment to private individuals rather than opposing the Government's move to run the liquor shops attached with bars from 8 a.m. to midnight. The Government should review the liquor policy and restrict sale by keeping shops open from 12 noon to 10 p.m.
