By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD Nov. 6. The Lok Satta coordinator, Jayaprakash Narayan, has underlined the need for transparent, corruption-free institutional framework in the country. He was speaking at a meeting organised by Andhra Bank here on Thursday as a part of its Vigilance Awareness Week being observed from November 3. He garlanded the portrait of the bank's founder Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya on the occasion, according to a press release.

The Andhra Bank Executive Director, R. Balakrishnan, said the bank was always in the forefront in documenting best practice code and extending credit to self-help groups in the State, "a fact acknowledged by the Government." S. Venugopal, General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, also spoke.
