A statement issued today by the Union here, today, said this decision was `an autocratic move aimed at suppressing the media. Journalists will pay any price to oppose it.' Protest marches will be held in all districts on Monday, the statement added. The Thiruvananthapuram Press CLub has also registered its strong protest against the incident. `These actions constitute a deplorable assault on the media,' a statement issued by the Press Club said. An urgent meeting of the media fraternity has been called at the Press Club at 11 a.m. tomorrow, to discuss these developments, the statement added.
