Special train for stranded passengers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Nov. 8. The special train bringing passengers who were stranded due to the derailment of the Jaipur-Ernakulam Marusagar Express between Pen and Kasu stations of the Panvel-Roha section of Central Railway this morning will reach Ernakulam tomorrow evening. The engine and seven bogies had derailed. There were no casualties. Two trains are running late because of the derailment. They are the Lokmanya Tilak-Thiruvananthapuram Netravati Express and the Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangala Express. The former, which is scheduled to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7-20 p.m. tomorrow, will arrive only at 4 a.m. on Monday and the latter, which is scheduled to reach Ernakulam at 11 a.m. tomorrow, is expected only at 1 a.m. on Monday. Consequently the Thiruvananthapuram-Lokmanya Tilak Netravati Express scheduled to leave at 10 a.m. on Monday will leave only at 12 noon.
