Summons to Karunanidhi

CHENNAI NOV. 8. The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's court at Egmore here today ordered issue of summons to the DMK president, M. Karunanidhi, and the CPI State secretary, R. Nallakannu, for their appearance on November 27 and November 24 respectively in a case registered against them under the Tamil Nadu Essential Services Maintenance Act.

Besides these two, the CPI(M) leader, N. Varadarajan, and the TNCC working president, E.V.K.S. Elangovan, have been booked under Section 5 of the TESMA for allegedly instigating government employees and teachers to strike work in July.

Summons have already been issued, advising them to come to the court on November 24 and 25 respectively.
