The Mumbai southpaw may get an early opportunity to avenge the final defeat against Uzbekistan's Akgul Amanmuradova in the $ 10,000 tournament commencing at the Deccan Gymkhana from Monday with a quarterfinal clash in the offing. Two other Indians Rushmi Chakravarthy (fourth) and Megha Vakharia (sixth) have been given a place in the seedings' list headed by Malaysian Chin-Bee Khoo, ranked 337th. Wildcards have been granted to Pune girl Kartiki Bhat, Iciri Rai of Delhi and Krushmi Chedda of Mumbai by Tournament Director, Anand Tulpule. Akgul occupies the second spot in the seedings, announced by ITF Supervisor Puneet Gupta on Sunday. India's best-known junior, Sania Mirza, will inaugurate the tournament on Monday, according to the organisers. Six Indian girls advanced into the main draw, along with The Netherlands' Karin Marlies Lems who won a marathon three-setter against Chirashanti Rajur of India. The seedings: 1. Chin-Bee Khoo (Mal), 2. Akgul Amanmuradova (Uzb), 3. Karen Paterson (GBr), 4. Rushmi Chakravarthy (Ind), 5. Chantal Coombs (GBr), 6. Megha Vakharia (Ind), 7. Isha Lakhani (Ind), 8. Maria Penkova (Bul). Final qualifying results (Indians unless specified): Karin Marlies Lems (Ned) bt Chirashanti Rajur 7-5, 6-7 (8-6), 7-5; Punam Reddy bt Oormila Ram 6-0, 6-1; Rati Kumar bt Sandra Sashidharan 7-5, 6-2; Nidhi Shah bt Pallavi Sharma 6-1, 6-2; Shraddha Lodha bt Deepa Engade 6-1, 6-1; Parul Goswami bt Anupama Rajur 6-3, 6-0.
