Chemplast's plans

CHENNAI NOV.10. Chemplast Sanmar is contemplating a green field project to manufacture polyvinylchloride resins (PVC).

Informing the Bombay Stock Exchange, it said it is also evaluating a project to manufacture the feedstock (ethylene dichloride) in a shore-based location (Krishnapatnam-Nallore District) in Andhra Pradesh through a wholly owned subsidiary (Chemplast Chlorochemicals). The proposed two-lakh tonne plant will have an investment outlay Rs. 500 crores.
