Participating in a meeting marking the launch of a two-day Taiwan Product Catalogue Exhibition at the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr.Chang said the TWTC would offer assistance to Indian businessmen in sourcing products from Taiwan as also in finding partners for long-term cooperation. With a per capita income as high as $13,167 and its leadership in various products, including consumer electronics, computers/peripherals and related information technology equipment, Taiwan had an export basket in which high-tech products accounted for more than 50 per cent. He suggested to Indian entrepreneurs to visit some of the international trade fairs in Taiwan, which were of particular relevance to them. These included Taitronics Spring (April 7-11, 2004, Taipei) featuring computers, telecommunications, consumer electronics, digital cameras etc, Taipei Cycle (March 10-13, 2004), Taipei Plas featuring plastics and rubber processing machinery and material (March 18-21, 2004) and Taipei Ampa, focussing on automobile/motor cycle parts and accessories (May 24-27, 2004).
