Sir, It is gratifying to note that the Reserve Bank Governor has expressed concern over the poor returns for senior citizens from deposits with banks. The mess created by splitting the US 64 has left many senior citizens in the lurch. A.M. Sampath, Chennai * * * Sir, Senior citizens are happy to note the sympathetic disposition of the RBI Governor towards pensioners. The mentally and physically challenged persons dependant on the interest from the corpus left behind for their survival are in a much worse position.
