As drinking water and food will be available inside the stadium, spectators will not be allowed to take water bottles or tiffin boxes. Cigarettes, matchboxes, lighters, and other personal belongings will also not be allowed into the stadium. However, mobile phones will be allowed. The Reserve Police will be deployed as a precautionary measure, the City Police Commissioner, S. Mariswamy, told presspersons here on Tuesday.

Gates to open early

The stadium gates would be opened at 9 a.m., he said The entry time had been advanced since every ticket would be screened. The screening process had been made stricter in the wake of reports that fake tickets were in circulation. The stadium has a capacity of 40,000.
