A Division Bench comprising Justice B.C. Patel and Justice A.K. Sikri asked the BJP leader and the other respondents, including the Land Acquisition Collector, Nairaina village, and the District Commissioner to file their replies by November 28. The petitioner, Ram Kishan, a resident of the Naraina village, through his counsel, D.N. Ray, alleged that the two plots of land bearing khasra nos. 2030/964 and 2031/964 were acquired by the Delhi Administration from him in 1976 and later handed over to the Defence Ministry. However, the land, at present, was in possession of the former MLA. He submitted that Mr. Tanwar had come to occupy the two plots of land in connivance with the other respondents. He urged the court to direct the authorities concerned to take appropriate action against Mr. Tanwar and other encroachers of Defence land here.
