Release of foodgrains to T.N. approved

NEW DELHI Nov. 12. The Rural Development Ministry has approved the release of 12,166 tonnes of rice to Tamil Nadu under the Sampoorna Gramin Rozgar Yojana (SGRY) for 13 districts.

These districts are Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Salem, Dharmapuri, the Nilgiris, Karur, Perambalur, Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Tuticorin and Kanykumari. The cost of transporting the foodgrains will be borne by the State Government.
