By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD Nov. 12. The stage is set for holding the crucial mini-Mahanadu of the Telugu Desam on Thursday in which the rank and file would authorise the TDP supreme, N. Chandrababu Naidu, to seek a fresh mandate by dissolving the State Assembly.

The senior TDP leaders, including Ummareddy Venkateswarulu, the Commercial Taxes Minister, K. Vijayarama Rao and the Home Minister, T. Devender Goud, visited Exhibition Grounds, the venue for the meeting and supervised the arrangements. The venue has been decorated with banners and buntings and a huge 60-foot cut out of Mr. Naidu.

About 7,500 TDP delegates are expected to attend the meeting, which would also adopt a resolution condemning in unequivocal terms the naxalite attack on Mr. Naidu at Tirumala Ghat road on October 1.

The meeting would first adopt a condolence resolution mourning the death of TDP activists. After the resolution deploring the naxalite attack on Mr. Naidu is adopted, the party chief would address.

Subsequently, the crucial political resolution authorising Mr. Naidu to take a decision to dissolve the House and seek a fresh mandate would be discussed and adopted. Eight senior leaders - would speak on the political resolution outlining the achievements of the TDP Government and explain how the extremists and the Opposition Congress were creating hurdles in the path of the development envisaged by the Government.
