Mr. Muthalik told presspersons here that the Bajrang Dal had urged leaders of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) such as Acharya Dharmendra and Sadhvi Rithambara to participate in the celebrations. To create awareness about Datta Jayanti, three "rath yatras'' would be organised. They would start from Narasimharajpura near Chikmagalur and from Mysore on November 27, and from Kasaragod on November 30.
Mr. Muthalik said that it was strange that the Congress was accusing other parties of trying to divide the country. The policies of that party were to blame for problems in Jammu and Kashmir. The rest of the country had also suffered because of the wrong policies of the Congress for five decades, he added.
He said corruption was rampant in Karnataka. Politicians were perpetuating corruption and nepotism. The Girish Mattanavar episode was the result of the anger of the youth.
