According to the police, Mr. Venkataramanappa was sitting on his scooter which he had parked in front of a fertilizer shop on the Mahatma Gandhi Road in Sidlaghatta. A group, allegedly led by Mohan, hurled a country-made bomb at him. He suffered injuries on his legs and hands. Mr. Venkataramanappa, who represents ward number one in the council, was treated at a hospital there and then brought to NIMHANS in Bangalore. He is out of danger, the police said. The Kolar District Superintendent of Police, K.
