Police said the bomb was hidden in a `tiffin-carrier' left in an abandoned bicycle near a crowded roadside tea stall. Many of the injured were those having tea or passers-by. Eyewitnesses said the bomb exploded with a loud noise around 9.15 p.m. No one seemed to have noticed who abandoned the bicycle. The injured were admitted to the municipal V. S. hospital and the condition of three were stated to be serious. Meanwhile, the city police have decided to lift curfew in the Kalupur and Dariapur police station areas in old Ahmedabad from tomorrow as no untoward incidents were reported. Curfew was clamped in the areas after communal disturbances on Sunday night in which at least three people were killed.
