Letters to the Editor
Sir, The latest meeting between the Sri Lankan President, Chandrika Kumaratunga, and its Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, has ended in a failure. The silver lining is that they have agreed to meet again. Without give-and-take, it seems the differences between the two leaders cannot be resolved amicably. In the interests of peace and development, they should rise above narrow political gains for the overall good of the island nation. The question is: who will blink first? D.B.N. Murthy, Bangalore
