Interest rate options in offing

NEW DELH NOV. 14. The Securities and Exchange Board of India today said interest rate options for government and private debt papers will be launched within a couple of months.

"We need to bring in more products in the capital market. Interest rate options will be launched within a couple of months,'' the SEBI Chairman, G. N. Bajpai, said after releasing a book on `Futures and Options' here.

The launch of another interest rate derivative assumes importance in the wake of falling interest regime. — PTI
