R.S. Sharma goes on leave

MUMBAI Nov. 14. The Mumbai Police Commissioner, R.S. Sharma, was denied transfer but allowed to go on leave by the Maharashtra Government as he has been cited by the Special Investigation Team probing the fake stamp scam for the acts of omission and commission in his investigation.

PTI reports:

The State Government has placed under suspension Sridhar Vagal, Joint Commissioner of Police (Intelligence), held under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act for his alleged complicity in the scam.
