Telgi's pleas to be heard on Nov. 22

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE NOV. 15. The alleged mastermind of the multi-crore stamp paper racket, Abdul Karim Telgi, alias Karim Lala, was produced before the second fast-track sessions court here on Saturday in connection with the hearing of three petitions he filed on November 11. The judge, K. Nagaiah Shetty, posted the hearing to November 22.

In his first petition, Telgi sought permission to visit his ailing mother and wife at his native place, Khanapur in Belgaum district, for a week.

In the second petition, Telgi said doctors at the Parappana Agrahara Prison here, where he is in judicial custody, were not giving him adequate medical care. In the third petition, he said that certain facilities that were provided to him at the prison had been withdrawn, and sought their restoration.
