20,000 from Kollam for Nov. 19 rally

KOLLAM Nov. 15. The DCC president, Sooranad Rajashekaran, has said that 20,000 persons will represent the district unit of his party at the Indira Gandhi Jayanthi Convention being organised at Ernakulam on November 19. They will be transported in 350 buses and more than 500 other vehicles to Ernakulam.

He said that the parking facilities for the vehicles from Kollam has already been earmarked at the side of the Kaloor International Stadium. The vehicles have been given identification numbers by the DCC and only such vehicles would be allowed to park at the allocated space.

As a prelude to the convention, the programme to herald the event would commence at 6 a.m. from Sasthamcotta on November 17 and pass through Ochira, Karunagapally, Chavara, Chinnakada, Kottiyam, Kannanallur, Kundara, Kottarakara, Punalur and Pathanapuram before concluding at Kunnathur.
