`Sarada Devi an embodiment of love'

PONDICHERRY NOV.15. Saradha Devi was an embodiment of patience, motherhood and love, said R. Padmanabhan, Pondicherry Chief Secretary. Speaking at the celebrations organised to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Saradha Devi in Pondicherry on Saturday, Dr. Padmanabhan said that she was the one who initiated Sri Ramakrishna into the path of spirituality.

The `rath'carrying the idol of Saradha Devi, being taken to 53 places in Tamil Nadu was brought to Pondicherry as part of the celebrations. Later, it was taken to Cuddalore.
