Special awards for Joshua and Shruthi

CHENNAI NOV. 16. S.L. Joshua Joseph of SDAT with 40 points and Shruthi Arunkumar (Sakthi) with 44 points bagged the special award (top scorers) in Group I boys' and girls' sections respectively of the Rajalakshmi Ammal Sports and Cultural Trust and SDAT's Tamil Nadu State-level swimming (fifth and last phase) competition at the Velachery Complex here on Sunday.

The first six top scorers were given gift articles worth Rs.500.

Boys - Group I: 100m freestyle: M. Murugan (TSPA) 0:58.04; 200m individual medley: B. Vinod Kumar (TSN) 2:31.97. Group II: 100m freestyle: S. Suresh Kumar (MAC) 1:01.54; 200m individual medley: S. Suresh Kumar 2:42.80. Group III: 100m freestyle: K. Mani (Hindu HS) 1:03.79; 200m individual medley: K. Mani 2:42.91. Group IV: 100m freestyle: K. Divakar (MAC) 1:06.65; 200m individual medley: K. Girls - Group I: 100m freestyle: G. Hari Priya (NLC) 1:14.78; 200m individual medley: G. Hari Priya 3:21.15. Group II: 100m freestyle: P. Bhuvaneswari (NKT) 1:10.40; 200m individual medley: P.
