Ms. Ratnakala was speaking at the valedictory function of a legal workshop for women organised by the District Legal Aid Services Authority, the taluk legal aid committee, the Bhadravati Bar Association, Lions Club, the Prajna Mahila Vedike, and the Shimoga Milk Union at Guru Bhavan in Old Town. She said most of the cases were either related to property or women, and the best way to settle them was through compromise. Ms. Ratnakala urged women to seek the help of advocates. Tushar Girinath, Deputy Commissioner, spoke.
